How to Recover Deleted Wechat Chat History on iPhone

WeChat is a free messaging & calling app that allows you to easily connect with family & friends across countries. It is reported that the number of registered WeChat accounts has reached 1.5 billion, with more than 600 million monthly active users, covering users in more than 200 countries and regions.
Recently, I received a number of reader's messages and Email, asking me whether it is possible to recover lost Wechat conversations on iPhone with the iOS Data Recovery. Most of them lost chat history because of unintentionally deleted, switching to a new phone, or doing factory setting. However, we are sorry that Syncios currently is unable to recover lost WeChat messages on iOS devces. (You can refer to our previous article to learn how to recover lost text messages, iMessages or WhatsApp chat history.)
However, if you had backed up your iPhone data with iTunes, it is not difficult to get back lost WeChat messages. According to Apple, iTunes backups wechat.ipa with its text messages and voice messages attach in one folder. That is you are able to restore your lost Wechat conversations from iTunes on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Here is how :
Recover deleted WeChat chat history from iTunes backup
1. Launch iTunes. Plug in your iPhone to the computer.
2. Click Device tab in the left corner on the interface.
3. Tag Summary tab and then, click Restore Backup button to begin the process.
Note: when you restore from iTunes backup, all data on your iPhone will be woped and overwritten by the data from backup.
Actually, the safest way to restore WeChat history chat is via its built-in backup and restoring tool. Under the Setting, which localed on the lower right corner, you will see the “General” > “Chat History Backup” > “Restore”. When you are logged in to your new iPhone or Android Phone, select “Restore” and enter the password (if you set one). The backed-up history will be restored to your device from the server.
